But I doe find in Mr. Seldens Catalogue of the Chancery that he was Lord Chancellor when B[isho]p of London by 4 Ric. 2. but according to the Catalogue he did not long continue in the office & therewith agreeth Sr. Wm. Dugdale and they both cite the Records for it although Philpot in his Catalogue of Chanc[ello]r[s] be to the contrary & by him it should seem that the then B[isho]p of London who was Lord Chanc[ello]r was Braybroke whose body was found to be in a maruellous manner nothw[i]thstanding the great length of tyme and exposed to veiw out of the Ruines of Pauls Church after the dreadful conflagration of London & was seen by me and by multitudes of others. against whome he obtained strict Comissions in Pat. 6 R. 2 pt. 1 & Pat. 8 R. 2 pt. 1 & Pat. 17 R. 2 pt. 2 m. 6 R. 2 in Esch. 20 R. 2 no. 17Cott.
